The Middle Ages

The Middle Ages, also known as the Medieval Period, was the title given to the period lasting between the 5th and the 15th century. It covers a vast amount of time beginning with the fall of the Western Roman Empire. Most historians choose to divide this large amount of time even further, into three periods; the Early Middle Ages (lasting until about 1000 AD), the High Middle Ages (lasting until about 1350), and the Late Middle Ages. The Dark Ages, although often used in place of the term "Middle Ages" has more recently been restricted to refer to the time of the Early Middle Ages.

Blog Information

As someone who has always been interested in writing, and the Middle Ages, I have decided to find a place to compile my research. This for my own use, but also anyone else who may be writing for this time period. I hope to post helpful facts about the Middle Ages, as well as links to references and other fun related pages that may be of use to writers.

Feel free to suggest topics for research! Also, if your own research is contradictory to mine, please, let me know. That way I can further study and, if needed, correct my information.
